Striking tropical or subtropical epiphytic fern (plant without true roots that relies on external support).
Broad, deeply lobed ' nest leaves' clasp the wooden backing board support they grow on and catch leaf litter, helping to feed the plant.
Staghorn ferns are easily grown and hardy. Moist shady conditions is required. Ensure adequate moisture at all times, reduce watering in the winter to avoid rotting. Protect from snails and slugs.
